Some people ask why they can’t collect casts sooner? It is vital that casts, especially big ones like this are given time to dry thoroughly and the process cannot be rushed. If heated artificially there is a risk of air inside the cast expanding and breaking the cast, or if they are sealed and painted while the cast still retains any moisture then mould can develop.
